Sprouting our four little green thumbs

Our kids already enjoy growing things and Emily & Marie have big plans for their own little garden plots.

Steve recently got a chance to meet up with some old friends, mostly of whom he went to school with from Gr. 1-12.

This awesome little machine brings an extra little delight to the day... I don't think a day goes by when we don't use it. Starbucks without the price, for Dutch people like us :)

And since this post is already a hodge-podge of this and that, here's a comment from Ronald Reagan that is especially timely right now that speaks to Obama's religion of "hope":

“The spendthrifts who mangled America with the nightmare of double-digit
inflation, record interest rates, unfair tax increases, too much regulation,
credit controls, farm embargoes, gas lines, no-growth at home, weakness abroad,
and phony excuses about ‘malaise’ are the last people who should be giving
sermonettes about fairness and compassion... Believe me, you cannot create a
desert, hand a person a cup of water, and call that compassion. You cannot pour
billions of dollars into make-work jobs while destroying the economy that
supports them and call that opportunity. And you cannot build up years of
dependence on government and dare call that hope.”

Welcome Spring!

We are excited about spring, but a beautiful snowfall isn't bad either :) And it fell two days in a row! Unusual for us in late March. This one stuck around just until the sun came out and is melting fast now.

Down our road

View of our neighbor's yard... I love to look at this grove of trees while we homeschool;
It looks beautiful in all seasons.

Hill in front of our house

I found when you move you prioritize your plants too... Having to choose my favorites to take along, my hyacinths and baby daffs are the only spring bulbs that made it.

Josh & Becky's wedding

This post is for you, Ruth ;) I would have posted the wedding sooner except that I have no pics of my own b/c I was busy with the kids (these are Cami's & Laura's pics).

And just some random pics...
