Holly's new haircut

I'm sure my mom is breathing a sigh of relief, but I'm still a little sad to have to cut off her baby locks; a bad episode with gum forced it. I cut off about 5 inches :(

Church shower for Becky

Steve decided to celebrate the end of the turnaround by taking us to see an old Disney movie at the very neat old Lincoln Theater

Finally he had some time to move dirt around... we've been having some beautiful sunshine the last few days

Em's 10th birthday

Em had Steph & Laura over to celebrate her birthday. Poor Steve didn't get too much sleep during the day though. Hard to keep a big bunch of kids quiet :)

The goofy girls took these pictures ...

Steve & Mel's big rustic farmhouse is getting close to being finished. They will be our closest church neighbors, 5 minutes away.

The long-awaited moment

...for Steve, that is. He is definitely still a farmer at heart. This machine has its work cut out for it, but having a utilitarian purpose doesn't detract from the delight of its proud new owner! He got up from his "night" sleep to try it out, since he's on 12-hour night shifts right now.

Crazy kids

Being the type of guy who likes anything unusual, Steve loves to find computer MIDIs to play for the kids, wierd stuff and usually with quite a beat. Now the kids put the music on pretty much every day and dance to it. As far as the dancing goes, they would a 10 for spirit but maybe a 2 for skill :) Kind of funny to watch.

Holly's potty-training is not going so well, although she enjoys sitting there and watching everyone

The girls were pretty proud of the "octopus" supper they helped with tonight. Sometimes you have to ignore the nutrition aspect (or lack of it) :)
Some of our wacky neighbor's places... the Flintstones?
