Hunter & Aimee's wedding!

It was a beautiful wedding, with a few funny mishaps during the ceremony... Some humor is always to be expected with Pastor Rutgers officiating :) Aimee was such a beautiful bride.

A visit from Jenn & kids

I just noticed Emily took pics of their visit! There are more of her pictures on the camera than mine, which I guess tells me I should be taking more.

Emily took these too... she must have been bored in the car.

YAAAYY!!! This is our last week of school, and catechism is finished, and piano will be at the end of the month. Actually Marie is already finished her books. Holly was the biggest distraction for both Emily and Marie, but they enjoyed her so much that I didn't have the heart to stop them from interacting with her... Spending time with siblings should be one of the benefits of homeschooling.

A common sight the last couple months, her books go where ever she goes. Our little bookworm really seems to prefer the bathroom though, since it's the quietest with no disturbances. ...Which makes me especially thankful for our three bathrooms instead of the previous one.

We are so thrilled with you in the birth of your new son Jesse. May God continue to preserve and protect you both... Wish we could be there to meet him, and to see Phillip's reaction (delight hopefully) at seeing his new little bro :)

Birthdays!

The kids definitely spoiled me this year. They've been counting down for weeks, and I've heard a lot of whispering and planning going on. Emily made scrambled eggs and Marie made toast and tea, which they had me eat in bed. Then they all gave me backrubs. Joel "decorated" the stairs with pennies :) and Emily made a birthday banner. Emily gave me a soapstone egg that was hand-painted & carved in Kenya, with an elephant on it (I have always loved elephants since I was little). Marie gave me some gourmet cookies. Very sweet! Steve took us out for supper and afterwards we went shopping for a living room chair.


And to top it off, we are going to a 2-day homeschooling conference tomorrow, no kids! This is the first time we've been out together for years... I can't even remember the last time. Doug Phillips and Don Chittick are two of the speakers... I'm looking forward to it.
