Marie's 9th birthday

Steve had Monday and Tuesday off work, and we had gorgeous weather... sunny, breezy and warm. We went to Wenberg State Park, and then to Kayak Point. We will definitely be going back to Kayak Point... it was beautiful. Marie got a digital camera for her birthday ($15 from Value Village! ... a fancy old one that must have been expensive at one time). I should have known... the picture-taking never ends. And on the same day, our extra hard drive died, so now we have to figure out a place to put them all.

Wenberg State Park... (there was a water spot on the camera so the pics are blurry in one spot)

Jenna was a pretty good sport about getting buried, but eventually she started to try to eat the sand... gross!

That's Holly's face in the background behind Marie :)

OK, Steve was mortified that I took this picture, but I think this guy broke a record or something... Maybe you can't see it from the pic but he has not one, not two, but THREE pairs of shorts on, successively lower than the next. What is with these crazy people? We even saw guys with their underwear showing all the way below the butt (in fact we had to walk behind them all the way up a hill). They must be starved for attention or something.

Kayak Point is huge, dreamy and beautiful!!!!!

The um, interesting wildlife we saw; it was about 3 feet long

Lorenzo's, our favorite place to eat (and they even take Steve's "chits" from work)

A birthday surprise!

The kids love getting 4-wheeler rides with our neighbor, dog always in tow :) I think they enjoy having kids around too, as they're sort of turning into grandparents to the kids.

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to GWL on Thursday night, and the kids spent every waking moment in the waterpark. I'm amazed how they can go go go all day long; we had to practically drag them out when it was time to leave. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures because the waterpark is such a long walk from the hotel room and I didn't want to have to watch a camera at the waterpark :( Emily & Marie made friends with two nice girls from the homeschool group and spent the entire time together.

The hotel room had a miniature kid's cabin with 3 bunks; very cute! The fireplace was also a hit with the kids even though it was warm weather.

These pics are from the last few weeks...

Travis & Rachel's beautiful wedding

Fun day at La Conner with Bobby & Jenn

BBQ at Hunter & Aimee's

If you know Steve's mom, this pic won't surprise you :)

The kids loved all the playground equipment. Holly was obnoxious in the sandbox though; first she was the one with sand in the face, but she soon learned to throw it at everyone else :(

Aaaw, sweet baby cousins!
