It feels a little odd spending so much time at our new place but then going back to our old place to sleep every night. The conditions are a little dirty but it's starting to feel like a real house in spite of the lack of furniture. At least Holly is feeling more at home! I think she'll be able to sleep anywhere now; she's so used to sleeping in strange places. Here she is napping in the van right behind the house where we can keep an eye on her and she can see us (and before anyone freaks out, in our moderate climate with all the doors and back hatch open, the air condition is pretty comfortable in there :) Steve is laying laminate flooring.

And Holly is jolly again! Her black eye from the swelling is gone too.

Here she is getting into Steve's toolbox; I should have stopped her right away but then I couldn't have got it on camaera :)

I've been wondering how long it would take for the kids to start exploring the steep hillside at our new place... and I figured it would be Joel, but Emily and Danielle were the first. This picture is taken looking almost straight down from the edge; the girls are standing on the roots of an upside-down tree.
