We finally moved!!!

...mostly, anyway. We still have a lot of junk to clean up at the old place and plants & tools to move. We are enjoying our new place and all the space immensely! I'll post some pictures after everything is set up better. I realized how dependent I was on the phone/internet when I did without it for 5 days... pathetic really.

Moving always involves surprises... I found a few things that were missing for years, and the kids left us one nice little surprise when we moved the couch and discovered the side was slashed or cut open... coincidently right in the little corner spot where the kids loved to make forts and hide out. I told Steve it's too bad that I guess we need to get a new couch :) (it is SO HARD to move shabby furniture into a new house!). He said, "I don't think so; I guess you have some sewing to do." Well, I tried anyway.

Now I know where Marie gets this from! Her big entourages drive me crazy but I guess she gets it from her Nana :)

Quite a few of the subs who worked on our house were Christians. We got to know some of them, especially one carpenter who worked on our house for 4 weeks while I was working there also. Nice guy who has had the most interesting life I've ever heard (a father & son business):


The first morning in our new house we had no range hooked up yet, so we went to McDonalds for breakfast.




Holly loves the new bar counter but I'm a little scared she's going to fall off the stool one of these days
